Trusting God// Having Faith in the Promises of God// Surrendering.
We have to ask ourselves a valuable question that we often times overlook. Are we fully trusting God? Are we really surrendered to him like we say we are?
Many things happen in our lives that causes us to doubt, worry, stress, fear, etc... 1st we need to realize that when these emotions come up, they are not from God. God promises us peace, joy, and all other fruits mentioned in Galatians 5. His promises are Yes and Amen. All other negative emotions and feelings are from the enemy, and it is an open door for us to lose trust in God. God tells each and everyone of us that He knows the plans that he has for us, plans to prosper us, not to harm us, plans to give us a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11). So why do we still feel the need to take matters in our hands? Above all else, we are God's children. Just as a child has no worries about what they will eat, drink, or how things will get paid for, We have to approach God in that same way. Some of us have grown so much to the point where we don't see God as our father. Just as a father protects, provides, and loves us naturally, God does the same thing for us. God lifts us up. God provides for us. God protects us and blocks things that was meant to harm us. God loves us unconditionally. So us stepping out of the will of God, is us thinking that we are the "god" of lives". Thinking that we know better than God. Thinking that the plans we come up with are better than the ones he already made at the beginning of time. We make all these plans yet we have no peace. We are so ambitious, yet have no peace. We live according to other people's standards, and society, yet we have no joy and peace. Thats not from God. We have to live to please God. Walking on the path of righteousness. Living a life that is holy and pure. Committing all of your ways to God. (Psalms 37:5-7) Also, In the bible Jesus tells us that his yoke and his burden for us is light. We don't have to stress when we are in God. The bible says Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he WILL DIRECT YOUR PATH. (Proverbs 3:5-6). A lot of us have been leaning on our own understanding. We are "robbing peter to pay paul", setting goals for ourselves without including God, etc. God tells us to trust in him, because he is able to do above what we can think (Ephesians 3:20-21), but he also wants to get the glory out of our lives. When we think for ourselves how things will work, how things will get paid for, obsess over the next steps, God gets no glory out of that. Because we work for hard to do something and when we get, it is all about you and not about God. These things cause us to overthink, causes anxiety, depression, and more. That's an open door for the enemy to play on our mind. The first place the enemy will always start is the mind. This is why we use our authority in Christ Jesus, cast those thoughts down, rebuke the devil in Jesus' name, and speak the word over ourselves. In the Bible, Jesus tells us not to worry about tomorrow for tomorrow brings its own problems (Matthew 6:34). We just have to be like a child and Trust that our father has already worked it out. We just have to surrender to his will. We are already living out our own destiny, we can't escape what God has planned for us. Whether we get it now or later his promises are still true. The children of Israel delayed their promise 40 years, but the promise was freedom and they got just that. The question is are we going to trust God, acknowledge him, and be grateful so that we can get to the promise in 11 days or be delayed 40 years? We have to trust God that we are healed, why? Because the bible says that by his stripes we are healed. We have to trust that God has great plans for us, why? Because Jeremiah 29:11. We have to trust that he have life, why? Because Jesus came that we may have life and life more abundantly. We have to trust that we won't struggle financially, why? because the Bible says that when we give, we will receive, and God will supply all of our needs. In order to fully believe and receive the promises of God, we have to surrender to his timing. We have plans but God's plan prevails. A lot of us get stressed out because of timing, fitting man's standards. But God is the author of time, and he fits in no boxes of time. It is in his timing that everything is perfected. So we must wait patiently on the Lord in all things that we do, and remain joyful. God being God who is all powerful, all knowing, everywhere at once, knows better than us. Our finite minds can not comprehend God. His thoughts are not our thoughts, his ways are not our ways. This why we surrender. Include God in our everyday lives. Pray always that his will be done in your life above your own. Jesus prayed for God's will. Pray that God gives you the heart and innocence of a child. Trusting that his time is better than yours. His plans are greater than yours. Also, as it relates to time, many people like to rush God but there are also people who think that God is rushing them. Again, Trust in his timing. God will not tell you to do anything, if he thought you weren't ready. He has already planted, grew, and blossomed everything on the inside of you. We were we prepared at the beginning of time, all he needed was your YES. So don't think you aren't ready, just trust that he has already provided the resources that you need. It was already predestined, just walk in what he has called you into. Even when you think it is a mistake, trust that he causes all things to work for the good of those who love him. (Romans 8:28). What the enemy meant for evil, God will turn it around (Genesis 50:20). God will always find a way to get the glory out of our lives, and in the decision that we make for ourselves and the ones he makes for us. Like I said, We can't escape God's plan. We just have to Trust that he knows best, and his will is best for our lives.
Study the promises of God, and stand firm in those promises. He is man that he shall not and will not lie, he will fulfill every promise that has been spoken by him.
HAVE FAITH. Your faith will take you places, your logic could never.
